HELP

To get the help information about the mailing list system, you can either send a special email or you can use the web interface. If you decide to use the web interface, just follow these steps (you may want to print them out, or write them down before starting to follow them):
  1. Go to the user interface: Click here
  2. Log in by entering using your email address, and password, and then hitting the Go button. Your email address must be the one you originally used to subscribe to the list. If you have forgotten your password, select I forgot my password and hit the Go button. The system will email your password to you.
  3. Once you have signed in, click on Help at the top of the page.
If you decide to use the email method, compose an email as shown below. Be sure to send it from the email address that you are subscribed from. For listname, put in the name of the mailing list.

UNSUBSCRIBE

To unsubscribe from a mailing list, you can either send a special email or you can use the web interface. If you decide to use the web interface, just follow these steps (you may want to print them out, or write them down before starting to follow them):
  1. Go to the user interface: Click here
  2. Log in by entering using your email address, and password, and then hitting the Go button. Your email address must be the one you originally used to subscribe to the list. If you have forgotten your password, select I forgot my password and hit the Go button. The system will email your password to you.
  3. Once you have signed in, click on Unsubscribe or Change Settings at the top of the page.
  4. You will then be presented with a list of the subscriptions you currently have on Serve101.org.
  5. To unsubscribe, click on the check box to the left of the list name, then hit the unsubscribe button.
If you decide to use the email method, compose an email as shown below. Be sure to send it from the email address that you are subscribed from. For listname, put in the name of the mailing list.

ARCHIVE

To access the archive of a mailing list, you can either send a special email or you can use the web interface. If you decide to use the web interface, just follow these steps (you may want to print them out, or write them down before starting to follow them):
  1. Go to the user interface: Click here
  2. Log in by entering using your email address, and password, and then hitting the Go button. Your email address must be the one you originally used to subscribe to the list. If you have forgotten your password, select I forgot my password and hit the Go button. The system will email your password to you.
  3. Once you have signed in, click on Unsubscribe or Change Settings at the top of the page.
  4. You will then be presented with a list of the subscriptions you currently have on Serve101.org.
  5. Click on the (info) link just to the right of the mailing list name.
  6. Next click on Message Archive which is the last of the Documentationitems.
If you decide to use the email method, compose an email as shown below. Be sure to send it from the email address that you are subscribed from. For listname, put in the name of the mailing list.

   Subject: Archive Summary

   default password (your password)
   archive-summary (listname)
   end
This will get you a list of the archive files that are available. The file names are typically the year (4 digits) followed by the month (2 digits). To retrieve one of the files, compose am email as follows:

   To: mjrdom@serve101.org
   From: (your email address)
   Subject: Archive Summary

   default password (your password)
   archive-get-immediate (listname) (filename)
   end
